"I am the the Queen of the frisbee"

You probably all know that my master (in his wisdom) educated me on the fine art of pulling a flying disc from the air in a most spectacular fashion. I pestered him for ages to take a few more snaps for my growing fan base and he finally got with the program. Take a look! I'm open to autographs, paw prints etc (at a cost) as I wouldn't mind trying those new meaty bones down the local. Anyway I practice almost everyday if I get my obedience right, but I don't get to keep my Frisbees too long (unless Dad forgets and I sneak one away). I just can't help but taste those wonderful colors! We buy in bulk now and save. It makes sense and I deserve it. I'm pretty damm good if I don't say so myself! Sasha my older step sister comes along most of the time although she likes to get in the way a lot. I'm so brilliant that she just can't keep up.

It's Christmas - yay !

Sasha and I just love the Christmas season, and we love our new sparkly Christmas tree too. Although it was a little strange to begin with, because it changed colours all the time (I know us dogs are not meant to see in colour, but trust me, WE DO!!). We even get mentioned in the Chrissy cards that our folks read out to us, so it's nice that we are considered family too. I am hoping that the big presents are for me and the little presents are for Sasha, but they don't smell like bones or chews or balls so maybe not. We are looking forward to seeing our friends Otto and Tenga on Christmas Day too - perhaps they will have presents to share with us ???
Anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone and all my very best wishes for a wonderful 2007!

I'm A Frisbee Dog

Would you take a look at me in all my glory ??? This took me about 30 seconds to learn (cos I'm just so smart) and over the past month or so I think I have caught hundreds of frisbee throws. The other dogs are so jealous and they pretend to ignore me while I am cleverly flying through the air, but I think they are really all looking at me out of the corners of their eyes.
My dad is very patient with me and I now understand the need to drop the frisbee after bringing it back, instead of running away and chewing it into tiny pieces. I think he has spent lots of money on new frisbees, but I get really excited cos each new one is a different colour! Wow !!!!

First Birthday Party

This is my 1st birthday party, where Sasha and I got to wear our party hats and celebrate with the folks my coming of age. Sasha doesn't look very happy in this photo (I guess she's had too many birthdays to be excited now) but I had a great time. I got a new Kong to chew on - just what I needed because I chewed right through my two Puppy Kongs - and we both got a pigs ear for afternoon tea. I offered a lick of my pigs ear to the folks but they weren't that interested, hmmm..... can't figure that one out, but all the more for me. I have had such a fun year and I can't wait to have more fun this year. I am learning a lot now and I must be a very good girl because I get lots of love and praise and cuddles all the time. Who knows what the future holds for me??? Can dogs get university degrees (yes I really do think I am THAT smart)???!!!!

Otto the Neighbour

This is my very best friend (apart from my sister of course). His name is Otto and he is a Hungarian Viszla who is only a few months older than me. He lives on a HUGE property where he can run and run and run all day, and because of this I just love to visit him and his family so that I can run and run and run too!! I'm very good at running, in fact my folks say that I don't know the meaning of the word 'relax' - whatever do they mean by that??? Otto lives with his sister Tenga the Staffy Terrior and when the four of us get together, look out!!! Luckily we can't get into too much trouble on the property - and it's great that Otto leaves all his old bones lying around so that I can have a chew on them as well.

My Big Little Sister

Meet my big little sister, Sasha. She is 11 which makes her 10 years older than me - WOW!! She is a cross between an Australian Kelpie and a Fox Terrier, she is very fast (almost as fast as me) and very energetic, even for her mature age. I think she knows a lot more than me, but sometimes she is really silly and I wonder if she is losing some of her marbles (I heard my folks say that one day, not sure what it means tho).

But I love her so much, she looked after me when I first came home and we just love spending time together. Sasha gets a bit grumpy now and then, and we have little arguments over our food sometimes but I can put up with that. The best time is when I get to wake her up in the morning (we sleep in separate rooms) and then kiss her goodnight when she goes to bed.

My First Post

Welcome to my blog! This is my very first entry and I have added photos from my younger days. I am only 14 weeks old here and have figured out how to get up on the chair for a nap (clever me!). I was also very proud of my comfy basket - although these days it looks a little worse for wear due to my talent for destruction. However, I am of the firm opinion that I was an extremely beautiful baby, look at those delicate features, what potential I had!
